Not Knitting - Crocheted Jewellery
I made this a few weeks ago at my SnB. It is from Debbie Stoller's Happy Hooker book, and is my first absolutely completed crocheted project! I made it as a thank you for a co-worker, and she really loved it.
Close up of the earrings and necklace:
It was a quick and easy project, I might do a few more for presents, since I don't really like knitting for others (I'm too selfish to waste my time knitting for people who won't appreciate it, which is almost anyone, except my boyfriend, and I still probably wouldn't make him a sweater!)
Went to Get Knitted's Open Day on the weekend, and bought some smaller Addis (2mm) and crochet hooks. Also bought some circs to knit Bobble Blue out of my new Angora Goat wool, as I actually swatched the diamond pattern and it came out a little big. The smaller Addis are for my Jaywalkers, which I started and are also looking a bit big (I was knitting them on 2.5mm). And I got some sock yarn, think I'll make Pomatomus from Knitty.
I've started on another Booga bag, this time for myself, out of the Silk Garden Egeria sent me. I've practcally finished the body (about 2 rows to go) and just have to do the strap. Luckily, I've got my SnB on tomorrow night, so I can do it there, like last time!

It looks absolutely stunning.
Gorgeous work Genki. Shame I couldn't be with you at Get Knitted this time! Hope you had fun.
My gosh, the jewelry is beautiful.
Beautiful work! I am sure the recipient will feel very lucky indeed!
How fun! I think I'll have to do some special crocheting for my daughters for Christmas!
