When it rains...

I have done quite a lot on my Bobble Blue from Interweave Knits, the back is done up to the armhole decreases. I'm enjoying it and finding it an interesting knit, though it's getting a little tricky now that I have to flick through the pages between charts and the decrease pattern.

Bobble Blue back

In order to make the knitting an easier experience, I've bought a clipboard to keep together the photocopied sheets from the magazine. This can then be used as a stable place to keep the cable needle, yarn cutters and measuring tape too. I've also highlighted every second line on the charts, used a post-it note to indicate which line I'm on, and learnt from experience to also write on the post-it note which row I'm on when I pop the clipboard in my bag. Then I underline or highlight each line of the pattern as I complete it. This has made following the pattern and charts a lot easier.

Holiday knitting - I just decided to make a few gifts for The Boys family for Christmas. I'm using stash and easy patterns so it doesn't get too stressful. I wasn't going to make any gifts this year, but they are all so nice, and really make me feel a part of the family on Christmas Day so deserve something a little special!

I'm knitting Knitty's Branching Out for The Boy's mum, the floral head band from SnB Nation for his sister, and a simple ribbed beanie hat for his father. I've started the Branching out, that is coming along nicely.

Great job....I'm probably more impressed because I have tried and failed at bobbles so many times.
