Gathering Threads
I've been happily working on my third pair of unfinished socks. I am pretty sure that I will finish this sock, and hopefully, its partner. I really love the colourway, it is the yarn that Nederlass sent me (she did so well!), and it is inspiring me to continue. I've turned the heel, and am just shaping the gusset.
Today I started a pair of mittens to match my bobble hat. I finished one, and hopefully will start the other tomorrow. I'm not entirely happy - I used a pattern from SnB nation, but changed it a bit to convert it from flip tops. It doesn't fit as well as I'd like. But I know what to do now, I might do the other the same, and then knit another pair with my new mitten fitting knowledge!
I want to make some of that yarn pr0n that I've been seeing, is a good excuse to really learn how to use my camera, I've never even looked at the manual. Actually it mighht all be in Japanese... Oh well, that's what Google's for.

If you fancy a slightly more challenging sock for your fourth sock I heartily recommend the Jaywalker pattern from Magknits to you - it's brilliant! there's a good KAL on the go too with a competition running if you're interested: http://www.januaryone.com/archives/jaywalker_kal/
Hi Genki
I lived in Newtown in Sydney and I loved it! The best city in the world ever, one of the happiest times of my life. Where abouts are you from?
Ooh, it's stripey, I didn't even know that m'self. I figured you'd like the colours. They're a little Pippi-esque aren't they?
How are the mittens progressing?
